Renewable Energy Stampede
The Renewable Energy Stampede & Green Living Fair is produced by The Texas Solar Energy Society and the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association. These two non-profit organizations have been collaborating for over 10 years bringing you the very successful Renewable Energy Roundup in Fredericksburg each fall (over 7,000 in total participation 2009). In an effort to further our mission providing products, services and information to the public, about renewable energy and energy conservation we are expanding this year and offering the Stampede in Salado in the spring. Our goal is to present the latest technologies and services to consumers with information on Renewable Energy, Sustainable Building and Living, along with Organic & Sustainable Gardening and Farming. The family friendly atmosphere in the park-like setting of the Salado Civic Center offers a relaxing environment for folks to come and enjoy a weekend of learning. Visitors can browse through the many commercial and educational exhibit booths, watch demonstrations, view and drive renewable fueled and electric vehicles, listen to featured speakers, and even participate in programs for children. Specialized tours and extended workshops will be available for an added fee.
