Tablerock Festival of Salado is named for a large limestone monolith by Salado Creek. Tablerock, once level, was first a meeting place for Native Americans. In the 1800's it attracted young Salado College students. Today Tablerock Amphitheater serves as a Salado meeting place and an outdoor venue for beautiful original plays and musical presentations.
